A few more photos. The cockpit is closed because the shape can be shown better this way. The kit was very poor, so it was necessary to rescribe all the plane and to add a few details. Also it didn't fit very well, so it was necessary to made some parts anew. Whoever knows this 'short run' kit, deserves an applaud :D

  1. Guys, this time I will be strict with everybody if you don't mind.
For me it's a 7 for the very nice exterior paint job. Brilliant wood, leather straps and exhaust. Small problems with the canopy frame which, in this scale, I would have liked to see open to inspect the cockpit. Very good effort overall.

  3. Even though this is 1/48 scale, most do not realize how small this aircraft is. When finished it looks like it might 1/72 scale. This example has fine attention to detail. My vote is 9.

  4. I vote 8. I think this model is very well finished for its size, just a touch too 'perfect' maybe.
Regarding open vs closed canopies it depends on the shape of the airplane which option looks more in harmony with the silhouette. Super detailed after-market cockpits for nearly every model tempt me to open canopies every time which looks boring. So, sometimes I try to produce perfect detail and then hide it behind a closed hood...

  7. Hi Mirek
The Ohka seems fantastic! The model with closed cabin looks much better and more elegant. Perfectly painting job of the nozzle ;-) I have to give 10 points.
