Mitsubishi Ki-15 / C5M "Babs" - IJAAF & IJNAF photos & more

Another photo I recently discovered in the "Asahi Shimbun" collection.
This one is featuring a Navy Type 98 Reconnaissance or Mitsubishi C5M "Babs".
The caption is not helpful except offering the year, 1940.
Any ideas about the unit?


"Darryl" beat us to it and commented: Mitsubishi A5M Kansen with markings 3-xxx belonged to 12 Kokutai and were deployed to China. Is the photo of the Babs with marking 3-3 also 12 Ku in China.
