Most of my model collection consists of these aircraft and I always come here to see the latest. Thank you for your hard work!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00702966526831328603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8160546163844864803.post-25496084900843636762022-11-26T19:10:52.685+09:002022-11-26T19:10:52.685+09:00Thank you MikeThank you MikeArawasihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09356734843656289711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8160546163844864803.post-23421443194309806922022-11-22T09:19:24.979+09:002022-11-22T09:19:24.979+09:00Hi George,

The delicate cockpit details hold their own against the newest tooled kits we have today. I think Nichimo may have been a little ahead of their time. Your build has inspired me to pull my Spruce out of the stash.
Great work!

Mike
Michael Furrynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8160546163844864803.post-18883218072382400232022-11-18T09:26:09.318+09:002022-11-18T09:26:09.318+09:00Thanks guys. Only this first will be in IJAAF markings

@Bob: generally speaking, it was the typical paint used to cover all interior parts and areas, including the cockpit, of most IJAAF aircraft. The official paint instructions of the "Willow", another similar trainer, we published with Eagle Eye #2, mention that all metal parts of the aircraft should be painted with red-brown primer and "aotake". So, yes, apparently, it was applied to protect the metal, not just for cosmetic purposes.
