Ext...Both look very nice with good decent chipping. Extended flaps get a bonus. They tended to drop because the hydraulic pressure fell off after a while when parked or when the system was released. This is seen less often on N1K2-Js since they were usually kept combat-ready all the time. With the engine running it took too long to build up pressure. The flap was one continuous airfoil with no demarkation line.
