Japanese Aircraft Online Model Contest 004 - FABIO BALZANO

This 1/72 Oscar Mk. II is the old Hasegawa kit, assembled 20 years ago!
Is an tipical natural metal Ki-43 II Ko crudely painted "on the field" with dark green spots.
25th Hiko Sentai - 3rd Chutai. Hankow, China - January 1944.
 Best regards from Italy.

  1. Great work Fabio. Good example of field applied camouflage. I will also note the diorama is not too "busy" so that it distracts from the model. Just some metal drums in the background and wheel chocks on a dirt surface. Very effective. I vote 4.6.

  3. Thank you all for your comments.
I'm glad you like it and that my old Hayabusa is here on Arawasi.
For the future, I still have a couple of boxes of Fujimi Ki-43 I ...

  5. Thanks Arawasi, but please tell me, IFF stripes are not good for shape or color?

  6. I like it as a whole.
The color of IFF stripes looks to light and with an almost green hue (at least from those photo)
It appears to have raised panel lines. That's because of the mold but I would scraped them and engrave new ones.
The landing gear has details that are too bulky.
4 for the overall arrangement of the dio.

  8. Nice build this. Higher resolution photos would do it more justice.
