Nakajima Ki-84 "Hayate" (Frank) by Allan Jeffery

Here are two of my latest Japanese subjects.
The 32nd scale Hasegawa "Frank" built as all my models OOB and the Hasegawa 72nd "Frank" using the most excellent Flying Papas decals kindly gifted by Arawasi entering the floatplane competition.
I was hoping to achieve a worn but not too weathered look to the late war olive colour,my apologies if the colour tone is incorrect. Any feedback from the community regarding the colour will be most gratefully received.

I think you did a great job. The weathering is just right in my opinion. I don't know if there is any way to properly judge color on the computer. I'm looking at my monitor with my particular lighting conditions at a photo you took with your particular lighting conditions of a model whose color might look different in person, again depending on lighting conditions.
That being said I like the tone and it looks close enough to artists drawings of these particular aircraft to me.
So again great job! The decals given by Arawasi look great too.

Thank you. Practically every photo I took seemed to show a different shade to the actual colours I painted.

Nice models! The weathering looks good to me. I know what you mean about photos and lighting, hard to get it consistent sometimes.
