Anybody can vote and actually we encourage the participants to vote. We want to believe that we are all gentlemen who don't vote based on friendship, country or personal interest. Let's remember this is a modelling contest, not Eurovision. All of us in Arawasi believe this is a way for all of you to show your models and hoping this is a learning experience you are all encouraged to ask questions, give and take advice and accept constructive criticism. Japanese Aircraft Online Model Contest 004 - DANILO RENZULLI

The model is in 1/72 from the Special Hobby kit with a few enhancements.
I must first say that after all that work  I'm  not very satisfied with this kit - especially at the front end.
The cowling shape resembles very little the original one despite my best to replace the kit's one with a resin piece from the AML kit. In both cases they are not as rounded as it should be, so....
I carved out the exhausts stakes from the resin cowling and replaced them with shaped plastic rods. The interiors have been enriched with p/e from the kit while the lower flaps come again from the AML kit as well as the canopy. The wheels are from a Kora decal sheet offered with resin ones.
All markings have been sprayed with masks I made myself. Painting has been achieved by spraying first Alclad aluminum then - using the "salt technique"- spraying a mixture of blue, black and a tad of white, all from Humbrol. No protective coat has been applied.
The quality of pictures is not very good as I was in a hurry I didn't have a better camera at hand.

Hey there!
I hope I am not too late to sent you some pictures of my just finished Hayabusa.
I build it just for the contest and I am quite satisfied with the results - at least for my standards. I hope you like it. The scale is 1/72. Manufacturer is special hobby.

As promised I send some more photographs of the reworked/more detailed Hayabusa. She really was a nice build - except the engine cowling which was a real pain! Well I know she isn´t a show-stopper. As mentioned before I am very pleased with the result. She was built OOB except from some cockpit detail, added wires to the landing gear and some improvement of the gun-sight.

The finish is hand-brushed. The model depicts a machine from 64th Sentai in Burma 1944. She might be a bit too weathered but anyway I like it that way.
