Do we know for sure that AZ corrected the nose shape for these new additions? Or is it just the old kits with new decals? Did AZ say they fixed the nose issue?
They posted images of the new parts that are intended to fix the shape issue. Is a new nose part, and also an upper fuselage insert between the nose and windshield.
Cover of the -IIb version shows a -I, with the short scoop on top of the engine and the longer scoop on bottom, although decals/painting illustrations got it right.
The painting instructions for the Ki-48-II says the third example is from an "unknown unit". According to Koku Fan 42 it is a late war marking for 208th Sentai machine at Clark Field in the Philippines.

Better late than never! They should have done it much earlier...I'll be waiting...
Panagiotis, they should send you at least one kit as an apology for all your effort when you scratch-built a correct shaped nose in your model.
Well done AZ! Not many companies will correct their mistakes.
