Kawasaki Ki-61 Tei 19th Sentaï by Jean Barby

I have finished the excellent tamiya model, what a breeze, and I went for the 19th Sentaï who was whipped in the Philippines in 44. I have used B@W pics to inspire my paint job using the hairspray technic. All markings are painted with masks so no decals here. The Sentaï markings is irregular as the pics show them different from aircraft to aircraft and most of the time painted by hand.

Supurb modelling and very impressive finish. An absolute joy, thanks for posting this.
An inspiration for my newly acquired Hasegawa 32nd Hien.

For clarity's sake, I colorized the Tony pic and was reminded by Ronnie Olsthoorn that there were no yellow drop tanks used outside of mainland Japan.
And thanks to Jean Barby for doing justice to this beautiful aircraft.
