Attached are a few pics of two Nakajima Ki-84’s in 1/48. The Japanese one shows the Hayate captured at Clark field. It’s the Otaki kit, and IIRC it’s the kit decals as well.
The silver one is the Tamiya kit with Rising decals, showing the same plane under test by TAIC.
Yes, the modeling is basic, but I build mostly for my own satisfaction.

Very nice models! The Tamiya's scale is actually 1/50. Is the difference in size notable? It should be 5-6 mm shorter. 4.6 for the pair.
I like the pair, but above all I like the experiment (surface stressed by rivets I guess) on the left wing of the Japanese example.
They present a historic reality from that time and are nice too be seen together.
4.6.
I must say that I'm a new fan of "modeling for my own satisfaction."
If they're sitting next to each other, it's subtle but something doesn't look quite right. They're on different shelves for me though, so it's not noticeable.
Interesting contrast in detail between the two kits. 4.6
Ki-84's are a personal favorite of mine. They look handsome in any livery. 4.7 for the pair.
Wind Swords
