A collection of photos and artwork of Kawanishi N1K-J "Shiden/Shiden-kai" (George) belonging to the Yokosuka Kokutai from various sources.
This one, a N1K1-Ja "Shiden" (George) Type 11 Ko suffered heavy damage during an emergency landing.
Hasegawa has released a kit in 1/48, Nr.09870, of the aircraft
Unfortunately the entire tail number cannot be seen, but note the small yellow star above the horizontal stripe on the tail, signifying a kill.
"ヨ-107" (YO-107) was a N1K1-Ja "Shiden" (George) found by US forces after the end of the war. There is an inscription on the fuselage. We could not read the first part but the second part says: "and do not use this aircraft for spares" (don't remove parts of this aircraft to be used on other aircraft).
