Very nice build. Unusual ( to me) subject
. A lot of work gone into that. 4.8

A brilliant model, the result of tedius work on a difficult model under adverse conditions. Excellent presentation too. A solid 5.0 from me. Bravo!

A modeling epic! Well done! The only thing that stands out to me as a possible problem is the ailerons, both seem to be down? 4.9 for a remarkable effort!

A great work in progress from which every modeler can learn something. First of all I will give you a maximum score due to your ambition and power to start again when things didn't worked as planed.
The model looks very well in the end so, for that I will vote 4.9.

I was disappointed when the deadline was extended, I knew I would not maintain my lead! However, this is clearly superior, I doff my cap, 4.9.

Thank you everyone for your supportive words and kind judgement thus far, I am very glad that you all were able to enjoy it and my struggles!
@ D. Chouinard, yes you are correct, both ailerons are glued downwards in this build. It was based on the following photo, I wanted to capture a part of this still and somewhat calm moment for the aircraft: https://oldmachinepress.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/ki-78-post-war-rear.jpg

It must have been a nearly superhuman effort to make a few plastic parts look like a wonderful model. The silver colour nicely adds to the racy appearance, and those black & white bands, too. What are they? I can't see them on the original picture that started your first WIP report.
Just two points that impair the otherwise excellent result a bit: The canopy seems not to have silver frames on the outside, and the close-up pictures show a rather pigmented finish - a problem with the silver spray? Overall I vote 4.6

My congratulations for this well done model kit and on winning this contest!
All the extra work was well worth it and very nicely reported and portrayed on the blog.
