I´m pretty curious how it happened that Ohka was found in Okinawa...Kokutai 721 was based in Kanoya, Kyushu. Are there any theories?

Japanese sources mention that they were sent to Okinawa in advance of their Betty transports. The US forces landed earlier than the Japanese expected so they were captured there. For more details regarding how they were going to be used, in other words the overall IJNAF plan, you'll need to dig deeper in the respective kokutai history.
