SHIZUOKA 2023 pt. 2

Let's move on to the modeller group tables. This year I was impressed by the large variety of subjects. Many interesting IJAAF and IJNAF aircraft, as well as military and civilian aircraft subjects from many different countries. Having said that, there were Zeros aplenty; from various kits, a few from Eduard too.
The second most built subject was the "Hien". TOO many Kobayashi "Tonys" for my liking; thanks to Tamiya and other companies releasing the same subject kits in different scales. Not bad per se....but come on!

A bizarre small diorama of a Zero taking off with cheerleaders waving pompoms.

The exquisite Zeros above and below were built by master modeller Saito Hisao of Tokushima Modellers' club. Beautiful!

Hmmm ... are they cherry blossoms, for a kamikaze pilot taking off on his final mission? Too many, though, even if that.

I do like the captured Zeros, very nicely done.
